(CENTREVILLE) – The St. Joseph County Grange Fair has been canceled for 2020.
The Grange Fair Board of Directors announced Monday they voted to cancel this year's fair. They say the decision was not made lightly. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and Governor Whitmer's Safe Start Plan, holding a traditional in person fair will not be possible.
The Fair Board of Directors say they hold the health, safety, and well being of their exhibitors, vendors, volunteers, employees, fair supporters and guests in the highest regard.
The Fair Board says they look forward to working with 4-H as they put their plans together for their exhibitors for 2020.
In regards to vendor and camping deposits, or payments and pre-purchased wristband vouchers, those can either be refunded or transferred for use at the 2021 Fair. Please contact the Fair Office by August 7 to request refunds of monies paid for 2020.
The Fair Board says they they will return in September 2021 with renewed energy for the 170th year of the fair. They will be “Moovin' and Groovin'” September 19-25, 2021. Please follow the Fair's website and Facebook page for further details and information.
