(ANGOLA) – It was officially announced on Monday. Kenneth Shelton will be the next Steuben County Commissioner representing the Middle District.
Shelton won over Republican incumbent James Crowl in the primaries. The Democratic Party, or even an Independent, could have had a candidate get on the November ballot to run against Shelton, but no one filed to do so.
With no one filing to run against Shelton in the general election, he will automatically be the winner.
In a social media post from his campaign page, Shelton said he was honored and humbled to be the Commissioner of the Middle District starting in January 2021. Shelton says throughout his campaign, he received support from Republicans, Democrats and Independents.
