
(HOWE) – A Three Rivers woman was one of four people arrested on drug related charges.
LaGrange County Sheriff Jeff Campos says his deputies were sent to conduct a property offense investigation at 6550 North State Road 9 in Howe at 5:30 PM August 6. While at the residence, deputies arrested 44 year old Carroll Kelly of Three Rivers on a Michigan warrant.
While arresting Kelly, deputies noticed hypodermic needles that were in plain view. They detained Kelly, 34 year old Melissa Jones, Mandi Allen and John McClellan and applied for a search warrant for the residence.
After receiving the warrant, officers searched the house and found approximately 34 grams of suspected methamphetamine; a small amount of suspected marijuana; 61 hypodermic needles; a large amount of small plastic baggies consistent with distribution and several sets of digital scales.
Kelly was arrested on the Michigan warrant along with charges of possession of methamphetamine; possession of paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles; visiting a common nuisance and dealing methamphetamine.
Jones was charged with possession of meth; possession of marijuana; possession of paraphernalia; possession of hypodermic needles and maintaining a common nuisance. Allen was charged with possession of hypodermic needles and maintaining a common nuisance.
McClellan is charged with maintaining a common nuisance.
