(GOSHEN) – A 19 month old infant is dead after being run over by a vehicle.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office was called to 21248 State Road 119 in Goshen just before 6 PM Friday. They determined that a 15 year old by was backing into the driveway of the residence. The 19 month old infant was sitting in the driveway near the front driver's side tire.
The teen turned the wheel to straighten out the vehicle and the front driver's tire ran over the infant.
Goshen EMS and Medflight responded to the scene but the infant's injuries were fatal.
No citations have been issued and the matter is still being investigated.
