(COLDWATER) – A free, drive through COVID-19 testing event will be happening on Tuesday.
The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency and the Michigan National Guard will be doing the tests at the Branch Area Transit Authority bus garage, located at 306 South Clay Street in Coldwater.
Testing will be from 2 PM until 5:30 PM, and is available to Michigan residents on a first come, first serve basis, whether you have symptoms or not. Individuals who wish to be tested should bring an ID. Minors can be tested if they are calm and with a parent.
The State of Michigan is covering the cost of the testing for this event. Insurance is not required and no insurance cards will be requested.
CHA Health Officer Rebecca Burns encourages anyone with symptoms or anyone concerned they may have been exposed to be tested. Anyone who has left their home for work or travel, can be tested.
Burns says Nasopharyngeal tests will be administered to determine whether individuals currently have COVID-19. Antibody testing will not be done at this event.
