
(STURGIS) – It's an end of an era for Sturgis Public Schools.
Athletic Director Mark Adams has announced that he is retiring at the end of the current semester after 12 years as the AD and Dean of Students at Sturgis High School.  
Adams spoke with WBET and says he has been contemplating retirement over the last few years. LINKC.

During his time as Athletic Director, Adams oversaw Sturgis’ transition from the Big 16 Conference to the Wolverine Conference.  Mark also oversaw the addition of Boys and Girls High School Bowling, Middle School Football, and Middle School Competitive Cheer.
During Monday's Sturgis Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert announced that Adams was retiring.  Ebert says four candidates for the position will be interviewed and a recommendation will be brought to the Board during their first meeting in November.
