(BUTLER) – Restrictions have been placed on Eastside School athletics.
DeKalb County has been moved to Red in Indiana's guidelines by
color. That is the highest level in positivity rates and community spread of the COVID-19 virus.
With this move, Eastside Junior High and Senior High athletics will now have the following restrictions at sporting events. Only players and participants, personnel and parents and guardians of the home team only will be allowed to attend events. Participants include cheerleaders and the pep band.
There will be no visiting fans allowed, just essential personnel only.
These restrictions will start on Thursday, November 19.
Eastside School officials say they will try to stream each home event so family members and the community can watch.
It's expected that DeKalb County will be Red for at least 4 to 6 weeks.
