(INDIANAPOLIS) – A former LaGrange County resident is one of eight people honored for their time with the Indiana State Police.
Master Trooper Roy Stuckey was recently recognized for 25 years of service. After graduating from Lakeland High School in 1990, Stuckey went to and graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He then attended and graduated from the 53rd Indiana State Police Recruit Academy. He was appointed as a trooper December 24, 1995.
Stuckey was first assigned to the Lowell Post from 1995 to 1997. He then transferred to the Fort Wayne Post and was assigned to road patrol duties in Whitley County. Then in 2007, Stuckey transferred assignments to the Special Investigations (Organized Crime & Corruption) Unit, where he is currently assigned to investigate financial crimes.
During his career, Stuckey has also served as a Field Training Officer, and was assigned to the Tactical Intervention Platoon.
Stuckey and the other seven troopers that were honored have combined careers that span a period of nearly four decades. Their total accumulated years of service exceeds 244 years.
