(BRONSON) – There's a vacancy on the Bronson Board of Education.
Bronson Community Schools say that Vice President Mike Roberts stepped down from his position on the Board January 8.
In a post on the District's Facebook page, they say the position will be filled by appointment of the Board of Education by majority vote.
The School District is looking for individuals from the community that would be interested in serving on the Board for a partial term of two years, until December 31, 2022.
Potential candidates for the Board seat must be at least 18 year old and a registered voter in the Bronson School District and a resident of the State of Michigan for at least 30 days prior to being appointed. They must also be citizens of the United States and have no felony convictions.
If you are interested in being considered for this position, you may submit a notice of interest in writing to Bronson School Board President Jan Byler, 810 Pleasant Hill Road, Bronson, MI 49028. You can also drop them off at the Bronson Administration Building or mail them to the Admin Building, 501 East Chicago Road in Bronson. The deadline for submission is January 22.
