(UNDATED) – Slippery driving conditions contributed to two accidents in Elkhart County.
Just after 7:30 PM Sunday, the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office was called to a one vehicle accident. 18 year old David Njuguna of Goshen was driving east in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 20, just west of County Road 17. Due to road conditions, Njuguna lost control of his vehicle and hit the median.
Njuguna was not injured. His passenger, 17 year old Judith Garcia of Goshen, complained of lower leg pain and was taken to Goshen Hospital to receive treatment.
At 4:30 Monday morning, deputies responded to another accident. 43 year old Tylone Lee of Elkhart was traveling east on County Road 20, west of County Road 11. Lee was traveling too fast for the icy road conditions and slid off the south side of the road.
Lee received a cut to his head and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital to be treated
