(BRONSON) – It was an early start to the day Sunday for the Bronson Fire Department.
In a post on their Facebook page, the Bronson Firefighters were called out at 1 AM to help with a mutual aid request from the Orland, Indiana Fire Department. Bronson assisted with a house fire that started on the porch at 7460 North 1050 East. Bronson was on scene for 90 minutes.
Then just before 4:30 AM, the Bronson Fire Department was sent to 181 Lyter Road in Matteson Township. A neighbor noticed a fire that had been burning for some time.
Firefighters arrived and found a mobile home fully engulfed in flames and partially collapsed from fire damage. No one was home at the time of the fire.
The blaze was finally put out. The mobile home was a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Damage estimates stand at $10,000 for the structure and $5,000 for the contents.
