(ANGOLA) – A Wolcottville woman is charged with burglary after the owner of a Steuben County business found her in his building.
The Steuben County Sheriff's Department says 39 year old Britney Marcinkevicius was found inside a rural Angola machine shop Sunday by the owner. She was writing notes and cleaning the facility. The owner says he went there and found Marcinkevicius. He found notes she had written saying “We need to talk” and then called police.
Deputies arrived and found Marcinkevicius sitting outside in the snow. She was carrying a purse that had a piece of copper pipe which was used in the business and a computer relay switch. When they questioned her, Marcinkevicius told them she had smoked meth the night before.
Marcinkevicius is being held in the Steuben County Jail, with bond set at $5,000. She is scheduled to have a pre-trial conference on April 5.
