(THREE RIVERS) – Steve Carra is going to run for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
During a gathering Tuesday evening in Three Rivers, Carra officially announced his candidacy. LINKC.
Carra, a Three Rivers Republican, spoke to a small but enthusiastic group of supporters, which included family members and friends.
Carra was elected in November 2020 to serve as the 59th District State Representative in the Michigan House of Representatives. He now wants to run for the 6th District Representative seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, which is currently held by Fred Upton. Upton was first elected to the U.S. House in 1986, and was re-elected last November.
While speaking Tuesday, Carra said that Upton is seen by many people as a moderate, but he doesn't deserve to be called that. LINKD.
