(STURGIS) – A special land use has been approved for an organization that wants to open a marijuana retail business.
Tuesday night, the Sturgis Planning Commission held a public hearing on a special land use request for 1640 South Centreville Road, the former site of Retail Warehouse.
Planning Commission Chairman John Mikulenas shared that a special land use had been approved for the property to a previous organization. LINKC.
The new company looking to use the property is AEC Industries, LLC, which is doing business as Hayes Provisioning. Marlos Attom explains what the company would like to do with the site. LINKD.
Attom says in the future, if possible they would like to build a shopping center on the adjacent properties.
The Planning Commission by a vote of 5-1 approved the special land use.
