(LANSING) – The process for creating a budget for the next fiscal year is underway in Michigan.
However, State Senator Johnathan Lindsey says there is a difference between last year and this year in what the budget could be able to do. LINKC.
Lindsey says one of the ways Governor Gretchen Whitmer is trying to get more money is by raiding the pension plan of Michigan teachers, which will hurt them in the long run. The other way is Whitmer is fighting to increase the personal income taxes on all Michiganders.
Lindsey says he opposes both of these methods.
