LaGrange County Voters Cast Ballots At Primary Election

(LAGRANGE) – It was primary election day Tuesday in Indiana.

Voters in LaGrange County came out to cast their ballots for local, state and federal races.

There were five individuals that were vying for the Republican nomination for three seats on the LaGrange County Council. The three who received the most votes were Karen Eagleson with 1,611, along with incumbent County Council Members Michael Strawser who received 1,584 votes, and incumbent Jeff Brill, who tallied 1,552 votes.

In the race for the Republican nomination for LaGrange County Clerk Of The Circuit Court, incumbent Clerk Kimberly Johnson defeated challenger DeLonda Young 1,839 to 986.

Running unopposed in the Primary were LaGrange County Commissioner for District 2 Kevin Myers (2,558 votes) and District 3 Commissioner Peter Cook (2,625 votes). Both are Republicans.

Also running unopposed was County Recorder Sheila Getz (2,625 votes); Circuit Court Judge William Walz IV (2,594 votes); County Treasurer Connie Brower (2,573 votes), who are all incumbents, and running on the Republican ballot.

Chief Deputy Coroner Jeremy Hoover ran unopposed for the Republican nomination for the Coroner’s Position, receiving 2,593 votes.
