(WAYNE TOWNSHIP) – A Marcellus man was injured in a one vehicle crash in Cass County's Wayne Township.

Sheriff's Deputies say 39 year old Jon Harwood was driving north on Glenwood Road just past Marcellus Highway at 7 AM Wednesday at a high rate of speed. He lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree.

Harwood was removed from the automobile and taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital. Investigators say he was wearing his seatbelt.

Assisting at the scene were the Dowagiac and Wayne Township Fire Departments along with Pride Care Ambulance.
