(STURGS) – Six Sturgis High School seniors received some extra financial assistance to help with their college expenses.
The Sturgis Kiwanis Club recently presented their Sturgis High School Class of 2019 Scholarship award recipients during a recent meeting. Receiving $500 Glen Oaks Community College scholarships were Hope Eichorn and Haley Rushford.
$1,000 scholarships were given out to four students who will be attending four year universities in the fall. They are Jaylyn Kelly, Hillary Tran, who will be going to Grand Valley State University, Zoe Yoquelet, who will be attending Indiana Wesleyan University and Meg Scheske who will be going to Hillsdale College.
Each student, along with their parents, were treated to a buffet luncheon at the Sturges-Young Civic Center. All of their high school achievements were also presented to club members.
