(STURGIS) – A new principal has been hired for two Sturgis elementary schools.
During Monday's meeting, the Sturgis Board of Education unanimously approved the hiring of Vince LaPorte as the new principal for Congress and Wenzel Elementary Schools. Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert shares some of LaPorte's background for the Board and the audience. LINKC.
LaPorte holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Manhattanville College and a Master of Arts in Education Administration from Cleveland State University.

LaPorte will begin his new duties on August 1. He will replace Nick Herblet, who was hired to be the new principal at Sturgis High School.
