(LAGRANGE) – There are some new additions to the Lakeland Junior-Senior High School Handbook.
During Monday's meeting of the Lakeland School Board, Assistant Principal Jason Shackow says one of the new sections addresses CBD oil. He says they are not required to have the same markings as other regulated substances. Shackow says to protect students and the School District, they are going to treat CBD oil if a student possesses it as a positive test result.
Shackow also shared that starting in the 2019-2020 school year, students will wear different colored lanyards to identify them by grade level.
Seventh and eighth grade students will wear red lanyards and ID badges. High School students will have blue lanyards and ID badges.
Staff will have white lanyards and ID badges so students will know they are.
