(EAST LANSING) – Michigan State football's Joe Bachie and Kenny Willekes are being watched. Bachie, a linebacker, and Willekes, a defensive end, earned spots on the 2019 Bednarik Award watch list Monday. Bachie, who earned first-team All-Big Ten honors by league coaches in 2018, was on last season’s Bednarik Award watch list. Willekes was not, but his breakout season earned him the Big Ten defensive lineman of the year award and consensus second-team All-American honors.
