Sturgis girls golf team second at Jamboree
(VICKSBURG) – The Sturgis girls golf team finished second in the final Wolverine Conference South Division Jamboree, with a season best score of 192. Dowagiac was first (175), Three Rivers third (208), Edwardsburg fourth (218) and host Vicksburg was fifth (224). Carli Sanford had the low round for the Lady Trojans with a 43. Teammate Hope Ogg had a career best 46 while Madisen Percival shot a 49. Three Rivers was led by Jayley Zeimet with a 47. Teammate Illy Taylor shot 53. Sturgis' Sanford, Percival, Ogg and Ella Yunker were all named Wolverine Conference South First Team All Division, as was Zeimet of Three Rivers. Sturgis finished second overall in the South Division, and the Conference Championship will be played October 3 at Stonehedge North.
