(LAGRANGE) – Lakeland has a new football coach. Athletic Director Roman Smith announced Monday that Ryan O'Shea has been hired as the next football coach for the Lakers. O'Shea has coached at Monroe Central, Yorktown, Lafayette Central Catholic, South Bend St. Joseph and most recently with Jimtown. O'Shea has been a quarterbacks, wide receives, and inside linebackers coach, along with being a defensive coordinator. He takes over for Keith Thompson who retired in January as the Lakeland football coach. Thompson was coach of the Lakers for 15 years and had a career record of 82-71.
