(BURR OAK) – Burr Oak has a new football coach for the 2020 season. The Burr Oak Athletic Department announced on their Facebook page that they have hired Steve “Rocky” Raklovits to coach the Bobcats in the upcoming season. Raklovits played quarterback for Eastern Michigan University in 1976 and 1977, and lead his team to an 8-3 record in his senior season. Raklovits says he his grateful for the opportunity to coach the Burr Oak football team. He says the community will see a football team that will be exciting to watch. Raklovits says he has high expectations for the team, which will play hard and be very competitive. Raklovits takes over for Ryan Stephens, who stepped down in December as the Burr Oak football coach and Athletic Director to become the AD with the Saginaw Swan Valley School District.
