(ANGOLA) – The Lakeland girls golf team won the Fremont Classic on Saturday, shooting a team score of 336 at Lake James Golf Course. Host Fremont was second with a score of 383. Leo was third (408), followed by Garrett (426) who was fourth, Prairie Heights (439) was fifth, Fairfield sixth (447), Churubusco seventh (467), Angola eighth (471), Westview ninth (485), Woodlan tenth (487) and F.W. Blackhawk eleventh (515). Lakeland's Madison Keil was medalist with a round of even par 73. Kylee Watkins was eighth overall with a round of 97 and teammate Sadie Edsall was ninth with a 97. Fremont's Halle Tanner was third with a score of 91 while Katie Baker was fourth with a round of 93. Prairie Heights was led by Amelia Johnson who shot a 100 and Haylee Henderson with a 105. Katie Smith paced Angola with a round of 110. Westview's Hope Harner had the low round for the team with a 111 and Ava Brown show 118.
