(PAW PAW) – It was a special afternoon for the Sturgis girls golf team, as they won the 2nd Wolverine Conference jamboree. The Lady Trojans used 3 career bests to help put together a team 177 score. The 177 goes down in the Sturgis High School record books as the 3rd best 9 hole score in school history. The 1981 team holds the gold standard with a 171 and the 1980 State Champion team is 2nd with a 172. Alexis DeVries shot a career best 40 and led the way for the Lady Trojans. Madisen Percival and Carli Sanford carded a pair of 45's and Mia Moreno shot a career best 47. Rounding out the scoring was Annabelle Bucklin with a career best 53 and Vianey Cardiel who shot a 56.
