Sturgis rallies to beat Three Rivers 25-21 in Stewart's debut
(THREE RIVERS) – It was a tough start to the 2020 football season for the Sturgis Trojans and new head coach Chance Stewart. They fell behind early to host Three Rivers, closed the gap, and then rally and score the winning touchdown with 43 seconds left, beating Three Rivers 25-21. LINKC. Brady Webb was 10 of 21 for 87 yards and 2 TD's. He also had 10 carries for 13 yards. Jacob Thompson had 11 carries for 65 yards and a score. Xander Cosby and 2 receptions, including the game winner, for 44 yards. Webb led the defense with 8 tackles while Rylee Cain and Connor Strudwick each had 7 tackles. Gavin Beuter (Bewter) was 10 of 25 for 96 yards and a TD for Three Rivers. He also ran 9 times for 3 yards and 2 TD's. Garon Gahan had 6 receptions for 81 yards and Connor Quake led the Wildcats defense with 7 tackles. Ethan Crooks, Bryce Harshberger and Isaiah Moore each had 5 tackles in the loss.
