(HARPER CREEK) – It was a tough night for the Sturgis girls swimming team as they traveled to Harper Creek and lost to the Lady Beavers 109-73. Sturgis did have 7 season best times. Senior Laci Gottschalk took first place in diving with a season best score of 228.50. She is undefeated in 6 meets this season and has qualified for the Diving Regionals. Freshman Olivia Feyes was second in the 200 IM. She also swam the 500 freestyle for the first time this season and finished third in a team best time of 6:40.7. Sophomore Bre Hagery was second in both the 50 freestyle and the 100 fly.
