Centreville beats Ubly for first ever Football title
(DETROIT) – The Centreville football team's magical season came to an end Friday as the No. 2 ranked Bulldogs won the school's first ever State Championship, as they defeated Ubly 22-0 to capture the Division 8 title. The Bulldogs scored first late in the second quarter on a 1 yard run by quarterback Sam Todd. Todd would also throw 2 touchdown passes, both to Tyler Swanwick. On the day, Todd had 19 carries for 70 yards and a score, plus went 6-7 through the air for 130 yards and 2 more touchdowns. Jared Spencer had 9 carries for 37 yards and Swanwick had 4 receptions for 97 yards and 2 TD's. Jared Spencer led the Centreville defense with 10 tackles. Ethan Brownridge added 7 on the day. Centreville ends the season at 11-0. Ubly finishes at 9-3.
