(COLDWATER) - Seven felony charges have been filed against a Quincy man following an investigation by the Michigan State Police.
Branch County District Court online records say that 44 year old Ryan Shortridge has been arraigned on charges that include aggravated child sexually abusive activity; tampering with evidence and using a computer to commit a crime.
Court documents say Michigan State Police started their investigation into the possession and distribution of child sexually abusive material after receiving several cybertips that were able to link Shortridge's e-mail and residence to the uploading of several graphic videos that involved prepubescent children.
Shortridge's bond was set at $200,000. The court ordered that he is prohibited from any contact with minor children and he is also barred from accessing the internet.
The court also said Shortridge is allowed to work at his company's headquarters, which is located in Indiana. But he is strictly prohibited to travel anywhere else.
