(MENDON) - The season continues for the Mendon volleyball team as the host and No. 1 Lady Hornets won a Division 4 Regional title by beating No. 8 B.C. St. Philip 3-1. Coach Kenneth Herbert says it was a great team win and playing at home gave the Lady Hornets a huge advantage. Karyssa Holtz had 34 assists, 17 digs, 5 kills and 4 aces for Mendon. Cienna Nightingale added 15 kills and 13 digs while Gracie Schultz had 14 kills, 19 digs and 2 aces. Jadyn Samson had 24 digs and 6 assists and Lashell Blair finished with 9 kills and 5 blocks. Mendon will take on Hillsdale Academy in a Quarterfinal match Tuesday in Coldwater, after Hillsdale Academy beat Lansing Christian 3-1.
