(WHITE PIGEON) - The Mendon girls basketball team won a Division 4 District Titles as the Lady Hornets beat host White Pigeon 36-20. Gracie Schultz led Mendon and all scorers with a game high 21 points. (LISTEN ABOVE). Cienna Nightingale and Rowan Allen each had 7 points. White Pigeon was led by Sadie McDaniel with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Sydney McClure had 6 points and 3 boards. White Pigeon ends the season with a record of 16-8. It was also the final game for head coach Brook Baechler who announced he is stepping down as coach of the Lady Chiefs. Mendon improves to 20-3 and will take on No. 3 Concord in a Regional Semifinal, after Concord beat Athens 53-36 to win their District Title.
