(CENTREVILLE) - St Joseph County has their budgets for the next two years.
Tuesday afternoon, the St. Joseph County Commission approved the General Appropriation Act Resolution for 2026 and for 2027. County Finance Director Angie Steinman shared with the Commission that the budget for 2026 will be $24,314,745 and the 2027 budget will be $24,683,135.
Commission Chairman Jared Hoffmaster thanked everyone who was involved in the budget process. He says there was a lot of work put into the budget and he was really pleased to see staff and department heads getting involved which is what you want to see.
The Commission approved the budgets by a vote of 5-2.
