(LAGRANGE) - A new member has been added to the LaGrange County Community Foundation team.

Community Foundation Executive Director Octavia Yoder says they are pleased to welcome Emily Evers as their new Community Initiatives Program Manager.

Evers grew up in Wolcottville and now resides in LaGrange. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness from Purdue University in 2022, and later completed her Master of Business Administration through Purdue Global.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Evers served with Purdue Extension in South Bend as both an Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator and County Extension Director. Through those roles, she worked closely with local communities, built strong relationships, and connected individuals and organizations with resources and programs designed to create positive community impact.

As Community Initiatives Program Manager, Evers will lead Community Foundation-supported initiatives and community projects in collaboration with nonprofits, schools, businesses, donors, local government agencies, healthcare organizations, civic and service groups, workforce development partners, faith-based organizations, and other community stakeholders.

In addition, Evers will also serve as the Community Foundation's lead staff representative for the Hawpatch Trail Project, supporting the Community Foundation's role as a project partner and helping advance community engagement and collaboration efforts. She will also coordinate the ongoing work of the LaGrange County Early Learning Coalition, bringing together partners to address early learning needs and strengthen opportunities for local families.
