(UNDATED) - The Sturgis boys and girls wrestling teams were in action at different locations on Saturday. The Sturgis girls were at the Coloma Invitational. Giovana Cruz took first place at 110 pounds while Gracie Clark was first at 170 pounds. Finishing third was Lashmy Garcia at 115 pounds. The Sturgis boys finished second at the Galesburg-Augusta Invitational, just 9 points behind champion Charlotte. Jouse Galvan at 113 pounds and Alex Valdez at 190 pounds were champions for Sturgis on the day. Taking second place were Cooper Barkby at 120 pounds, Easton Barkby at 132 pounds and Ayden Hamilton at 157 pounds. Jacob Lewis was third at 150 pounds, while Tayler Martinez at 165 pounds and Juan Pablo Soto at 175 pounds were both fourth.
