(COLDWATER) - A Coldwater woman is facing multiple felony charges following a suspected road rage incident on Sunday.
Branch County District Court records say 39-year-old Misty Doenges was arraigned Monday on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, reckless driving and two counts of felonious assault.
Court records say that the incident happened when Doenges allegedly exited her minivan at the intersection of Southern Road and South Angola road in Kinderhook Township and confronted the occupants in another vehicle.
Witnesses says that Doenges opened the hatch of her vehicle and got a 9 MM Taurus pistol from a red bag and pointed it directly at the occupants of the other vehicle before they drove away and called the Branch County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's Deputies were able to use license plate details and witness photographs to identify Doenges. They executed a search warrant at her Coldwater home and found the firearm. Doenges did say the weapon was hers but she denies pointing it at anyone.
Bond was set at $25,000 which Doenges was able to post. She is scheduled to have a probable-cause conference on October 13, and a preliminary examination on October 20.
