(MENDON) - The Mendon girls basketball team defended their home floor and beat Centreville 27-22 in an opening round game of the Mendon Holiday Tournament. Rowen Allen, Gracie Schultz, Jadyn Samson and Cienna Nightingale each had 5 points for the Lady Hornets. Centreville got 8 points from Mary Stears. Drew Alexander had 5 points, 3 steals and 2 assists while Leah Roberts had 5 points. Mendon will take on Sturgis in the Tournament Championship game while Centreville faces Galesburg-Augusta in the Consolation game.
