(LAGRANGE) - No one from the audience spoke during a public hearing on the 2020 Lakeland School Corporation budget Monday evening.
The budget includes $11.8 million dollars for education and $7.5 million for operations.
Business Manager Kirby Doidge told the Board the official student enrollment in September was 1,698 students. That’s down 170 students from 2018 according to information on the Indiana Department of Education website.
Doidge reported that the district has not gained any students since the September count.
The decreasing enrollment will mean less revenue from the state.
The Board will adopt the budget at a future meeting.
