(ANGOLA) – A new person has been named as the Angola girls varsity basketball coach. During Tuesday night's MSD of Steuben County's Board of Education meeting, the Board hired Nick Burlingame to lead the Lady Hornets in the 2020-2021 season. Burlingame is a 2010 Angola High School graduate, and says he is excited to return home. Burlingame started coaching while attending Purdue University. He was the Freshman and JV boys basketball coach at Lafayette Jefferson High School. He returned to Northeast Indiana in 2017 when he was hired to the Lakeland boys varsity basketball coach. In a message on Twitter, Burlingame says the last three years have been amazing and he is thankful to have been the Lakeland boys varsity coach.
