(INDIANAPOLIS) – As of Thursday afternoon, there were 50 new cases of coronavirus in Northeast Indiana.
The Indiana State Department of Health says LaGrange County is reporting 6 new cases of COVID-19. There are now 68 individuals with the virus and 2 people who have died.
In Noble County, officials say 12 new cases have been detected. Presently, 204 residents have coronavirus and there are 21 people who have died. Steuben County had 1 new case which makes 81 people who have tested positive and 2 people who have died from COVID-19.
DeKalb County has no new cases. That means there are 33 people who have the coronavirus and there has been 1 death in the county. Elkhart County saw 31 new cases, making 1,101 residents who have COVID-19 and 28 people who have died.
Around Indiana, 646 new COVID-19 cases have been detected. To date, 33,068 Hoosiers have contracted the virus. There were also 37 more people who died from coronavirus, which means 1,907 people statewide have died.
The State Department of Health is also reporting that from Wednesday to Thursday, 7,112 people were given the COVID-19 test. All total 242,287 people have been given the test. 13.6 percent of those tested had positive results.
