
(UNDATED) – There were 6 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Southern Michigan Friday afternoon.
The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency 3 of those cases were in St. Joseph County. That makes 305 people who now have COVID-19 and there have been 4 deaths.
The other three cases were in Cass County. There are now 140 people with coronavirus and 5 people who have died.
There were no new cases in Branch County. 244 people have the coronavirus and there have been 2 deaths. Hillsdale County has no new cases, which means 185 people who have tested positive and 25 people have
died.
The Michigan Department of Corrections says there were no new cases of coronavirus at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater. That makes 39 staff members and 793 inmates who have tested positive. There have also been 23 inmate deaths.
Statewide, there were 460 new cases of COVID-19, which means 65,135 Michiganders have the virus. There were also 3 new deaths, which makes 5,969 people who have died from COVID-19.
