(CENTREVILLE) – St. Joseph County will have a new Clerk-Treasurer following the November General Election.
It was announced Tuesday that incumbent Clerk-Treasurer Lindsay Oswald had filed to seek re-election. But Oswald contacted Swick Broadcasting to say she had withdrawn her name as a candidate. She says it is the best choice for her and her family, and is looking forward to the next challenge in her life.
That leaves Gina Everson as the lone candidate on the August Primary ballot for Clerk-Treasurer.
Oswald was appointed to the Clerk’s position in 2015 after the retirement of Pattie Bender. She then ran for the position during the 2016 election and was victorious.
