(POKAGON TOWNSHIP) – A Dowagiac man was injured in a one vehicle accident in Pokagon Township.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says just after 12 AM Monday, 26 year old Joshua Jessup was driving north on M-51 near Thompson Road when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line and then drove into a cornfield.
Jessup was taken to Niles Lakeland Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Assisting deputies were the Pokagon Township Fire Department; the Niles Volunteer Firefighters and the SMCAS Ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation.
