(KENDALLVILLE) – Investigators are still trying to determine what caused a fire in a building in downtown Kendallville Sunday evening.
The Kendallville Fire Department was called to a fire in The Crew Youth Center Inc., storage building in the 500 block of South State Street just after 7 PM Sunday. The Avila, Albion, Corunna and Orange Township Fire Departments were called in to provide mutual aid in battling the fire.
Fire officials says the roof of the building caved in, trapping the fire and making it difficult for the fire to be put out, but it was eventually extinguished.
