
(INDIANAPOLIS) - The family of the late Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is auctioning off a large part of his collection of historic artifacts and memorabilia, which is estimated to be worth over $1 billion. The auction, handled by Christie's in New York City, will start in March 2026.
The collection features:
199 guitars from famous musicians like John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, and Kurt Cobain.
Historical items including rare manuscripts, documents, sports memorabilia, and artifacts connected to figures like Abraham Lincoln and Jack Kerouac.
The Irsay family plans to donate some of the money raised to charities and mental health causes that Jim Irsay supported.
