Coldwater boys tie for fourth at D-2 Track Regional

(BERRIEN SPRINGS) – The Coldwater boys track team tied for fourth place with Otsego at the Division 2 Regional at Berrien Springs. The Cardinals boys have some individuals and relay teams that are heading to the State Finals. Jackson Reilly was Regional Champ in the shot put and will advance to the State Finals. He will also compete in the discus, after finishing fourth at the Regional. Garrett McVicker came in fourth in the shot put and will advance to the State Finals. The 800 meter relay team of Dayne Knapp, Kaden Lewis, Evan Lewis and Naseem Taha finished third and will move on to the State Meet, and set a new school record of 1:30.18, breaking the record set in 2018. Those runners also made up the 400 meter relay team and set a new school record of :43.21 breaking the record set by themselves earlier this year. They finished fifth and will move on to the State Finals. The 3200 meter relay team of Luke Aerts, Sebastian Ocampo, Claudel Wischmeyer and Drew Vanderpuyl finished fourth and will move on to the State Finals.
