Thursday, June 3, 2021

(PARK TOWNSHIP) – A collision between a semi and a dump truck injured the drivers of the vehicles.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office says at 2:20 PM Wednesday, a 62 year old Grand Haven man was driving a semi west on Michigan Avenue. A dump truck, driven by a 78 year old Constantine man, was head south on Parkville Road.

Deputies say the dump truck failed to stop for a stop sign at Michigan Avenue and struck the semi's trailer.

The semi driver suffered only minor injuries. The driver of the dump truck had serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital for medical evaluation.

The Fabius-Park Township and Three Rivers Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
