(BERRIEN SPRINGS) – It was a big night for Three Rivers' Kali Heivilin as the Three Rivers softball team ended their regular season with a split of a non conference double header against host Berrien Springs. Three Rivers lost the first game 12-10 and then won 8-6. Heivilin hit 2 home runs in the first game loss, finishing 4 for 5. That gave her 27 homers on the season, and broke the MHSAA record for home runs in a season. Then in the second game, Heivilin hit her third homer of the day, giving her 28. Teammate Gabby Charvat had 4 hits on the day as did Brooklyn Furlong while Peyton Ware had 2 RBI. Three Rivers will take on host Edwardsburg in a District semi-final game on Saturday.
