(GARRETT) – A teen was injured when the moped she was riding on collided with another vehicle.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department says the incident happened Tuesday morning in the 1700 block of County Road 48 in Garrett. Investigators say 74 year old Connie Collins of Garrett was driving east on County Road 48 and was trying to pass an eastbound moped, driven by 15 year old Katrina Kline of Garrett.
Kline activated her left turn signal and started to make the turn and crashed into Collins' vehicle. Kline was ejected from her moped and suffered from ankle pain, cuts and road rash.
Assisting deputies at the scene were the Garrett Police and Fire Departments and Parkview EMS.
