
(THREE RIVERS) – After a hiatus in 2020 due to COVID-19, the 64th annual Three Rivers Water Festival is ready to go for this weekend.
The three day festival is being held at different locations around the City, thanks to the generosity of several sponsors. Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Christy Trammell says visitors will notice that this year's festival is a little bit different than in years past. LINKC.
Many of the traditional Water Festival events are back for 2021, but Trammell says they have a new twist to them. LINKD.
This year's car show will have no pre-registration. Participants will sign up when they arrive on Saturday. There are several hand washing stations with running water around the festival site. In addition, the food vendors and the ride companies are taking extra precautions to clean and disinfect their areas regularly.
Some of the events today include the Ambassador for Christ chicken and ribs BBQ; the St. John's Lutheran Strawberry Fest; the Carnival Midway opening at 4 PM; the Silliman House Museum Open House, the Street Parade at 7 PM and following the parade there will be monster truck rides.
